I rage much, I sleep little. Incongruously, I have been a union activist and simultaneously a Constitutional libertarian. I am a registered nurse, a sailor, an Army veteran, and a III%er... I am a complicated man.

The Time is Now. --Bruce Fenton

Some gun enthusiasts say things like "Sure they can come get my guns...bullets first!" or "Let em try!" They make jokes and clever one liners about resisting tyranny .....giving glorious visions of fighting for freedom.

The implication is that they will fight and protect the Second Amendment.

No they won't....

They will die.

Far more likely they will comply.

It's easy to talk tough on the Internet or sport a witty bumper sticker to your local range....but when push comes to shove almost no one actually resists the heavily armed and trained government forces....those few who do almost always lose.

This is the way it has always been. People have lined up to be persecuted just as people line up to register firearms in Connecticut as we speak and people sit silently by as they have firearms seized and are named felons by the State of New York.

No.

The time to fight is not when armed troops are at your door and doing so gives you a 99% chance of losing freedom, your family or your life. The time to fight is now, before the oppressors and grabbers of freedom amass more power.

The time to fight is now by joining pro-freedom organizations, by fighting anti-freedom politicians on a local level, encouraging local police chiefs to follow the Constitution and demanding the resignation of those who do not.

We can also fight by inviting anti-gunners to learn and to come shooting and by having civil discussions about the drawbacks of a State monopoly on force, by educating people, attending meetings and rallys, having peaceful sit-ins, donating money, teaching people to shoot and getting more people licensed as gun owners, writing letters to editors and correcting anti-gun propaganda in media and by electing more officials who understand and support the Bill of Rights and voting out those who do not.

This is where our power lies....every time some fool politician tries to take our freedom we need to show up in force: grandmothers, local veterans, business owners, young women, retired police, union members, teachers, people of every race, religion and creed who believe in freedom.

We show up, we speak loudly and we make them regret their actions and see that stomping on the Bill of Rights is a path to their removal from office next election. We stand together and we claw and fight and take this country back....not by bloodshed and unlawful means...but by pushing and fighting as hard as possible within what is left of this broken and corrupt system to right this ship called the United States of America.

Who is with me?
