Progressives' Curious Love for Islam; The Lefts Defense of 'Religion of Peace

While our nation collectively gasps over what happened in Paris and the recent be beheadings of journalists and aid workers at the hands of Islamic terrorists, those in America who would be their first targets, are deafeningly silent. Sure they'll wear a JeSuis Charlie pin, march in a solidarity parade and #hashtag their Twitter feeds.. it's the "in thing" to do. So it makes very little sense that the progressives in America have the least to say regarding radical Islam but are mostly found defending Islam as “a religion of peace.” 

While leftists abhor values like modesty when espoused by Christians, they are quick to embrace a belief system that kills women for immodesty. While they hold protests dressed as giant vaginas raging about a woman’s right to her body parts, they get shy when women are genitally mutilated for sexual impurity?

While many progressives promote themselves as anti-death penalty, they refuse to protest a religious/political system that routinely executes women, children and others without any form of due process.

The left will pontificate about a mythical separation of church and state, that same separation is impossible for Muslims. Islam is a political and religious system – a classic theocracy. Where is the leftist outrage?

Christians and observant Jews who have never called for the death of homosexuals are the favored targets of the militant homosexual movement. But why? Shariah law calls for homosexuals to be killed for their sexual practice. 

Where is the outrage over that? 

Atheists and others who don’t understand the First Amendment, who continue to whine about the mythical “separation of church and state,” defend a political system that strives to establish theocracy and will kill you for insulting Allah.

The foundational beliefs in moral relativism and sexual freedom so deeply ingrained in progressives is fundamentally at odds with Shariah, where adultery is punishable by death.

Women’s rights? Gay rights? Abortion rights? Make love not war? Where do all these “values” go when the oppressor sports a turban?

There are deeper, sicker, more deluded reasons why progressives hate conservatives and “tolerate” Muslims.

1) They are annoyed by conservatives. Conservatives live balanced, happy lives. They love order. They aren’t angry. All of those things are terribly annoying to those who spend half their lives in yoga class trying to find some harmony that doesn’t come via body twisting. It’s even more annoying to those who can’t pull their lives together to get a job, support a family and order a household. Imagine that on your angriest day, someone walked in smiling and giddy about some exciting news they have. That is the proverbial (however inadvertent) “nails on a chalkboard” annoyance that conservatives exact on leftists every day.

2) Conservatives are safe targets. Most conservatives are tolerant and just want to be left alone to run their businesses and raise their families. They don’t pose a real threat when attacked, because their Judeo-Christian values command them to forgive. There is no real threat in hating, even hurting, a Jewish or Christian conservative simply for their own bigoted idea of what conservatives should believe.

3) Conservatives ask for it. Conservatives seldom defend themselves effectively. They don’t know or use Saul Alinsky tactics on others, even when those tactics are used on them. Conservatives tend to duck and cover when they are attacked, and they talk entirely too much about “turning the other cheek” when they should be smacking someone else’s. Sorry, it isn’t contextually biblical to turn the other cheek. Jesus Himself makes that clear in Luke 22:36-38 when he tells His apostles to “take up a sword” for self-defense.

4) Conservatives are the common enemy. As the sole superpower in the world, the United States of America is the keeper and protector of the world, defending and advancing Judeo-Christian values so reviled by assorted leftists, communists and Islamists. They united to install a Manchurian president who sees our Constitution as the problem, wants to fundamentally transform us and has succeeded in diminishing the U.S. in every domestic and geopolitical sphere.

If America falls to Sharia law, I hope the homosexuals, feminists and hippie freaks all hold on to their heads. They will miss conservatives then.
