The Racial Drum Beats On

This past Saturday, there was a march in DC ostensibly to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the famous MLK "dream speech." What a wonderful opportunity for the likes of Farrakhan, Sharpton, Jackson and the other movers and shakers in the racial grievance industry to keep up "the narrative." I mean; they have to justify their existence after all, right? Remaining “relevant” is the imperative ... In other words, they feel they need to keep racism alive to keep money flowing into their coffers.

They all spoke of Trayvon Martin's death as a racially incited murder. We know however he was killed while beating a guy’s head in, and the shooter/victim was exonerated by a jury of his peers. George Zimmerman was maligned  not only by the media, but by the US Justice department and the President of the United States. The cries of racism continue and Martin's beautification and claims of innocence carry on.

The speakers at the event almost universally let loose the pandering, victimization and repression rhetoric that is so common these days. The old adage of ‘repeat a lie enough times and it becomes truth’ is frighteningly apt.  The willfully weak minded and intellectually lazy will slavishly accept it as just that, the truth. These people actually seek to believe that they are persecuted and owed something. This isn’t restricted to skin color, this mindset is rife through our society because it benefits the tyrannical regime of the liberal-fascists in power.. The race pimps simply use it to their advantage.

Keeping the race-baiting going, MLK 3 said “Sadly, the tears of Trayvon Martin’s mother and father remind us that far too frequently the color of one’s skin remains a license to profile, arrest, and to even murder with no regard to the content of one’s character. Regressive ‘stand your ground’ laws must be repealed.” Again race where it wasn’t an issue, and “stand your ground” where it didn’t matter. You could insert any irrelevant issue here and the salivating-persecuted masses would stand and cheer, demanding whatever it was he was selling.

“Regressive ‘gas station-please-pay-before-pumping’ laws must be repealed.” Yayyy!

As with all the players in the racial grievance industry, the facts always seem to obscure the truth. The implications made with the Trayvon comments that day, were that Martin was murdered by a white man and that guns and stand your ground laws had a part in it.

The fact remains that restrictive gun laws have historically had a negative impact on African Americans. The bans on African American firearm ownership in the Antebellum plantation era of the South, resulted in incidents like: the Rosewood massacre, the Colfax Louisiana Massacre, the Perry Race Riot, the Elaine Massacre, on and on and on... American Blacks were intentionally denied the right to defend themselves and this idea isn't new.

Today, look at Chicago, Detroit, California, Washington DC… the only ones with guns are the bad guys. Honest law abiding citizens have been disarmed and everybody knows it. Why would African Americans, those most impacted by crime, demand more laws and more restriction on protecting themselves when those who aim to do harm simply disregard the law?

Alas, the fact is that what took place on the anniversary of Martin Luther King's beautiful and famous speech, was nothing but a theatrical presentation by those who benefit from the Racial Grievance Industry. What a shame.

So instead of justice and parity, the race-baiting profiteers have stolen Kings legacy and built themselves a nice little business keeping racism alive and well.
